The Importance of Meditation in Reiki Practice

Meditation is a fundamental aspect of traditional Japanese Reiki practice, but it isn’t often emphasized in Western Reiki practice. This is unfortunate, as a regular meditation practice can be incredibly beneficial for Reiki practitioners, helping to deepen their connection to Reiki energy, improve their intuition, and enhance their overall wellbeing.

Practice, Practice, Practice

The people I am researching have no more knowledge or ability than me.  They just came up with their way of doing things and shared it.  I don’t have to listen to their ideas as if they are rules.  I need to see what inspires me, act on that inspiration, and see what happens.  When I get the urge to act, of course I need to listen!

Returning From the State of Flow

When I return to the full power of my physical senses after being in a state of deep spiritual awareness and connection, it is just not a comfortable transition for me. Maybe I need to learn to stay in my body more during the spiritual connection, but at this point in my development, trying to tether myself to my body inhibits that state of flow for me. I have found ways to make the transition less uncomfortable, though.

My Experience Meditating with ADHD

This morning I had an aha moment… perhaps my ADHD diagnosis has something to do with my struggle to stick to a regular meditation routine? I felt a bit silly for not having realized before that the way my brain is wired may well have everything to do with the fact that I find trying to enter stillness for long periods on a schedule next to impossible.

Reiki Aided Meditation

I was slow to add meditation to my self-care and spiritual practice. I have ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder Without Hyperactivity). Sitting still and quieting my mind seemed like an impossible feat. I did not think I would ever be able to get to that sweet spot I had heard of. That place of calm connectedness sounded so good to me but seemed so out of reach.

Fairy Crystal Message - Meditation Script

You walk until you come a clearing in the woods.  There is pond here, filled by a little waterfall, to one side of you.  Notice that there is a small opening behind the waterfall.  A little cave. Something seems to be glowing there, behind the water.  Move closer and you can see the glow is coming from several dancing little lights.  One of the lights comes forth from the little cave.  It flies through the water and towards you.  you have no fear.  Just pleasant curiosity about this beautiful little light.

Reiki Circle Opening Meditation

After looking around for a good meditation to use, I decided to write it myself this month.   To prepare, I took some time to center myself and activate Reiki with gratitude and intention.  I used the power symbol to help charge my energy, the mental/emotional symbol to get into my creative zone, and the distance/connection symbol to connect with divine guidance for inspiration.  I wanted to share the results with you.
