I have been feeling a little confused by Napoleon Hill’s teaching of sex in Think and Grow Rich. He teaches that Mastering the emotion of sex has many benefits and is necessary for success. I’ve had a hard time understanding exactly what he meant by the emotion of sex.
Today, I had a bit of an epiphany while reading Outwitting the Devil by Hill. What if Napoleon Hill is talking about the energy of the Sacral Chakra? Suddenly the whole idea made much more sense to me. The Sacral Chakra is associated with security, empowerment, creativity, and co-creation, as well as sexual emotions and romantic relationships. Napoleon Hill never speaks of Chakra energy, but when he speaks of the energy of sex, it would be Sacral energy that he is referring to and when I think of Sacral energy in general and not specifically in relation to sex, I believe that I am able to understand.
I was excited by the realization and felt the need to write about it at once, while it is still fresh in my mind. What has most confused me about Napoleon Hill’s teaching is that while he talks about transmuting the emotion of sex into creative energy for the purposes of manifesting riches, he never really gives a very clear idea of how to do so. How does one master the emotion of sex for use in this way?
With this realization that sex emotion and Sacral energy are the same thing, I now have an idea of how to educate myself and make use of this principle of Hill’s. I can research the Sacral Chakra for information for healing it and keeping it clear and use those practices to master the sex emotion in my effort to make use of Napoleon Hill’s master key.
This is especially enlightening to me as I know that I have a lot of healing to do when it comes to the Sacral Chakra. When I reflect on the ways that this may affect my life and manifesting efforts it makes sense that the issues, I have might be obstacles to achieving the things I want.
For example, I have insecurities about my appearance and sexual performance as a result of being insulted by past partners. I want to feel beautiful, love and care for my body, and attract a healthier more attractive appearance. However, I know that my insecurities cause negative thoughts and feelings that keep me from attracting those qualities.
When it comes to attracting riches, those same insecurities about my worthiness come into play. Those fears then stifle my creativity and prevent me from reaching my full creative potential. In order to reach that potential, I need to work on healing in all areas of my life, but in respect to Napoleon Hill’s Master Key, I must heal and cleanse the Sacral Chakra.
