I love Pamela Miles and respect her commitment to daily self-Reiki and the way she leads and encourages other Reiki Masters to do the same. I think it is wonderful and know how beneficial it can be. I want to share a secret with you though…I don’t practice self-Reiki every day.
I have to admit, for a while I felt kind of guilty about this. I felt like it was a rule I should be following as a Reiki Master, and I don’t. I don’t have a regular, daily, self-Reiki routine. Some days I don’t do self-Reiki at all, let alone a full session. More often I use it on an as-needed basis.
I do practice some kind of energy healing daily. Qigong and Spiritual Mind Treatments are regular practices of mine. I always have my crystals nearby and utilize their energy often. I don’t feel like self-Reiki has to be a part of my daily routine for me to achieve my highest good. That doesn't mean I don’t love and appreciate it as much as ever, though.
I have come to really depend on Reiki. It is like a good friend I can always call on when I need help. The kind of friend that I don’t feel I have to talk to or hang out with every day and they are still there for me. Always with me in Spirit. The energy is always there, always supporting me, even when I am not trying to make a conscious connection and channeling it with my hands. I always feel it.
Reiki is what flows through me when I practice Qigong. Reiki is the creative medium being used to manifest the results of Spiritual Mind Treatment. Reiki is what inspires me when I write and create content. Reiki is the Life Force Energy that is in, around, and through everything.
And if I get ill, injured, or face a challenge and I don’t have time or can’t focus my energy and connect with the Spiritual Life Force that is Reiki on my own, the healing system that is Reiki is right there waiting for me to tap into and lay my hands upon myself with the intent to let Reiki flow and do what needs to be done to support my highest good.
Self-Reiki has been a remarkably effective tool in my healing journey and is one I continue to use regularly…just not daily. I am tremendously grateful to have it in my life both personally and professionally. I can’t imagine my life without Reiki. I know it is always with me, even when my intent hasn’t been set and my hands are not channeling it in a Self-Reiki session.
