Giving Reiki to Food and Drinks

At the end of my Second-Degree Reiki training, my Reiki Master gave the class suggestions for using the Reiki symbols we had learned.  Among his suggestions, giving Reiki to your food and drinks was listed.

Everything is made up of energy, including our food.  The life-force energy in our food is one of the ways that it nourishes us.  So, it stands to reason that giving Reiki to our food would be beneficial.  Just as Reiki recharges and balances the life-force energy within us, it does the same to our food and drinks.

If we are already giving ourselves Reiki, what is the point of giving it to our food, as well?

I believe that giving Reiki to the food and drinks I prepare for my family and we consume together helps us to keep our energetic vibration high.

Think of everything your food and drinks go through before they get to you.  Unless you have a private food and water supply, everything you consume likely goes through many processes and passes by many people.  As it moves along, the natural energy of the food and water is disturbed by the process.

The energy of the people and places our food and water encounter alter the natural energy, just as it does ours.  Rather than taking that disturbed energy into our bodies, we can use Reiki to restore the natural energetic vibration and balance of our food and drinks before we consume them.

A First-Degree Reiki Practitioner can Reiki their food with hands on Reiki.

Simply begin Reiki flowing in whatever way is natural for you.  For many this ritual will include giving thanks for Reiki and setting the intention to channel it.

Then, set your intention to restore the natural energetic vibration and balance of your food or drink.  Hold your hands over the food or drink or place them directly on the dishware you are using.

Let Reiki flow as long as you feel guided to by your intuition.  It usually does not take long.  When I first began doing this, I would give Reiki to the dish for about 5-10 minutes.  As I did it more often and put more trust into my intuition, I was only doing if for 2-3 minutes.

A Second or Third-Degree Practitioner can use the Reiki symbols to restore the natural energetic vibration and balance of their food and drinks.

Using the symbols is a quick and powerful way to give our food and drinks Reiki.  Using the power symbol is sufficient, but I use all three of the primary symbols when channeling Reiki to food and drinks.

I use the power symbol to recharge the energy, the mental/emotional balance symbol to clear away accumulated energy from people and places and restore natural balance, and the connection symbol to heal any past trauma the food (especially animal products) may have gone through during its life cycle.

I draw the symbols in the air above the food and “push” it into food or drink, or I draw the symbols directly on the dishware I am using.  I also like to use the power symbol on drink coasters and place-mats.

Giving Reiki to food and drinks is a simple way to care for ourselves and our families.

Giving our food and drinks Reiki is not a long or complicated process.  We can quickly and easily give our food and drinks Reiki to restore their natural energy so that we consume only the best energy.  Doing this helps us to maintain our own energetic vibrations between Reiki sessions.  If you have your own method for giving food and drinks Reiki, please share with us in the Crystal Reiki Wellness Spiritual Community on Facebook.
