Have you ever had this happen? You get an idea, and it feels great. You start working on it and you get totally in the flow. Everything is going along and great…. just rolling along… and then all of the sudden it isn’t. The flow has been interrupted.
Usually, our own thoughts do the interrupting. Is this as good as I think it is? Maybe this isn’t really a great idea after all. This seems to be taking too long to manifest. Are challenges a sign this is wrong for me? Maybe I should just give up.
Our intentions to do not always manifest in exactly the way would envision them. Sometimes we can get caught up in the details and throw ourselves entirely off course. If we dwell on doubts and challenges as they arise, they can stop us in our tracks. We decide what we want, we start to manifest it, and then we just lose it. The inspiration is gone.
How can we get back in the flow of right action towards our desires once we’ve lost it? Remember what inspired you in the first place. What would the manifestation of your desire mean to you? Why do you want it? Does it still light you up when you think about it or is the dazzle gone?
If it still lights you up, then chances are you are having trouble with limiting thoughts. Examine the thoughts you are having around your desire. Identify any limiting thoughts you may be having and turn them around to make appropriate affirmations. You can learn more about how to do this here. Use the affirmations whenever you catch yourself having limiting thoughts.
Also, remember to be mindful of your journey toward your desires. Don’t think of your desire as a goal to reach as quickly as possible. Think of it is a journey to a destination that doesn’t really matter. It doesn’t really matter if you get there as long as you feel good and enjoy the trip.
If the dazzle is gone, you may want to review what you have already gotten out of the experience. Is it possible that you learned something along the way that may have been the true reason inspiration led you down this path? It may be that you’ve gotten as much from this path as you were meant to right now and it is time to either put it on hold or move on completely.
This can feel confusing when something felt very right to us in the beginning, and we were sure it was meant to end in a different place than we find ourselves. If you aren’t clear on what you have learned and you just aren’t feeling it anymore, don’t write the idea off forever, just put it on the back burner or store it away and come back to it some other time with a fresh and open mind. However, you may be able to identify a lesson from the situation and be sure that this idea is no longer right for you. In this case, it is good to let go with gratitude for the lesson.
Whether you decide to keep working toward manifesting your desires, put them aside, or move on from them completely, what is important is following your joy. Have fun with your efforts to manifest and don’t take them too seriously. Remember it is okay to change your mind or follow a different path than you had originally intended.
